AI IMAGE ANALYSIS

Was this image made by AI?

Run an AI Analyzer and EXIF Detector on one image. Review each result on its own terms.

TWO DIFFERENT QUESTIONS

Read model output and file metadata separately.

The AI Analyzer estimates which class the image resembles. The EXIF Detector reads details stored in the file. Either result can be missing or uncertain.

MODEL INFERENCE

AI Analyzer

A classifier score gives a probabilistic signal. Editing, recompression, and unfamiliar image sources can affect that score.

FILE FACTS

EXIF Detector

See camera, lens, date, and settings when those fields are present. Missing metadata is common and says nothing by itself about AI generation.

About the EXIF Detector

HOW TO READ A REPORT

A result is one clue, not a verdict on the image.

Model scores can be wrong. File metadata can be changed or removed. Compare the report with the image’s source, context, and any provenance information you can verify.

Why detectors can be wrong
01

Review the score
Read the label and its limitations together.

02

Check available metadata
Treat fields as file data, not authenticity claims.

03

Look for other context
Find the source or provenance record when possible.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Before you analyze

Does a high AI score prove an image was generated?

No. It is a classifier output, and the model can make mistakes. Use it as one signal alongside source and provenance information.

Does missing EXIF mean an image is AI-generated?

No. Screenshots, social apps, image editors, and export settings can remove metadata from ordinary photographs.

Are exact GPS coordinates shown?

No. The report says whether GPS metadata is present and leaves the coordinates out.
